Making Hershey Kiss Cookies

To celebrate our time in Hershey, Pennsylvania, we made peanut blossom cookies with Hershey Kisses. Check out the pictures below to see how we made the cookies and how much fun we had making them!

First we rolled the peanut butter dough into 1-inch balls and lined them up on parchment paper.

Then we rolled the peanut butter balls in sugar.

Next, we placed the sugared dough balls on cookie sheets.

The cookies were then carefully carried down to the teacher's lounge and put in the oven.

Immediately after the cookies came out of the oven, students put a Hershey Kiss in the middle of each warm cookie.

We then waited for the first batch to cool and put another batch in the oven.

Each student picked three cookies to take home to share with their family.

Students took the cookies home in a bag that explained how they had been made by Team Newingham during our visit to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
