| At the
end of the year, students chose their favorite story or a new story to
publish in a hard cover book. Parents volunteered to type the stories,
and students glued the typed text into the pages of their books. They
then became the illustrator and published the book for all students in the
classroom to read.
|
||||
|
On the day of the
Author Publication Celebration, students came prepared to read their
classmates' books for most of the morning. After reading each book,
they signed the library card that was inserted in each student's book to let
the author know that they had read it.
