2005 Spring Open House

"Hollywood Nights"

After winning 3 "Best of Show" awards at the 2005 Michigan Student Film and Video Festival, we decided to make our Open House theme "Hollywood Nights" to showcase the movies we've made throughout the year.

We each had our own star on the Newingham Walk of Fame!

Parents and students watched our movies at the Newingham Movie Theater.  Students handed out tickets for a drawing for their parents to win coveted seats on the couch.

Outside of our classroom, we posted the times that our movies would be playing on a marquee so that parents and other students would be able to come watch the movies.

Students' "headshots" were posted outside our classroom so that visitors could read their actor bios.  Click here to meet "The Cast of Room 10."

Before Open House, we created a large U.S. map to pinpoint the major cities and landmarks we have visited so far this year.

In the hallway, we showcased the many postcards we received from across the United States during our "Postcard Geography" project.  We also picked our favorite photos from the year to decorate the final bulletin board.
